Today I am going to review a new favorite mascara sent to me by Influenster. [Click here to see the rest of the stuffs I received.]
The name may be a mouthful but let me get into specifics of this baby.
This mascara costs $5.99. According to the website it gives;
Bold, wide-eyed false lash look.Hour-glass brush shaped to the lash line to plump lashes, fanning them up and out for bold, wide-eyed volume.Coats lashes individually for a big, false lash look in one simple stroke. No clumps!

The mascara comes in 3 shades: Black, Extreme Black and Carbon Black. I received the Extreme Black one.
The product comes in a black sturdy plastic container.
And it’s as big as my palm!
Here is the brush. It’s big and shaped like an elongated hourglass.
Now let’s test the product onto lashes, shall we?
Here is how my lashes look after 1 coat of application.
Here is the comparison between my lashes in their natural state and after using Rimmel Scandaleyes mascara.
[My skin is having pretty bad acne episode, so pardon the bare face!]
Pretty good, huh?
Now let’s road-test the product. I have done my makeup and used the mascara at around 12 pm. Here is how the lashes look.
And up close!
[Testing out a new under eye concealer here, which creases without any setting powder btw!]
And here is the product at the end of the day at around 10 pm. The eyeliner has faded around its wing but the mascara is still good!
So in a nutshell:
1. The product is waterproof. So it’s actually better for your lashes for daily use.
2. It gives the illusion of thicker lashes.
1. The mascara wand or brush is quite big. You have to be careful while using it…or else you are gonna poke your eyes. (Guilty!)
2. You have to let the mascara dry before you put on the second coat. Otherwise it looks clumpy.
Couldn’t resist editing the picture black & white. After all, it’s Retro Glam! 😉
